For 100 years, Indiana Beach has been more than an amusement park — it’s been childhood summers, first roller coasters, lake breezes, fireworks, friendships, and memories passed down through generations.

But in 2020, those memories were nearly all that remained.

Legacy on the Lake takes you on an emotional journey through the park’s vibrant past: its creation by Tom Spackman, its golden decades of growth, and the quiet decline that left fans fearing the end of an era. Told through heartfelt stories from workers, ride operators, fans, and families who lived the magic, this film captures what made Indiana Beach truly special.

And then — the miracle.

A last-minute rescue by Gene Staples and a passionate team determined not just to reopen the gates, but to restore the soul of the park. With new rides, new life, and a community reenergized, Indiana Beach is writing a new chapter worthy of its legendary history.
